DHAKA, Oct 8, 2106 (BN) – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today said Major (retd) Zia, the mastermind of the Gulshan café’ terrorist attack will hopefully be nabbed at anytime.
“Major (retd) Zia is now under the close watch of detectives . . . He may be arrested any moment,” he told journalists while distributing clothes among destitute at Sri Sri Lokenath Brahmachari Ashram temple in Swamibagh here on the occasion of Durga Puja.
Replying to a query, the home minister categorically said the members of law enforcement agencies identified all the perpetrators of the attacks on the Holey Artisan Bakery on July 1.
“Some of them were captured while the rest are under the close watch of the law enforcement agency,” he added.
The minister said police and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) jointly carried out Tangail and Gazipur raids.
Swechchasebak League (SL) general secretary Pankaj Debnath, MP and Dhaka city (South) SL president Debasish Biswas, among others, were present on the occasion.
