68.91 pc pass HSC exams:37726 get GPA-5

DHAKA, July 23, 2017 (DNA) – On an average 68.91 percent of examinees
passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations held under 10 education boards of the country this year.

Of them, 66.84 percent students came out successful in the HSC
examinations under eight general education boards while 77.2 pc passed in Madrasah Education Board and 81.33 pc in Technical Education Board.

A total of 37,726 candidates scored maximum grade point average GPA-5 this year examinations.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid along with chairmen of all education boards formally handed over the copies of the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at a function at her Ganabhaban residence here today.

The education minister will announce details of the results at a press conference around 1 pm at the Secretariat.

Later examinees can get their results from respective educational
institutions, websites of education boards and through mobile phone.

A total of 11, 83,686 examinees from 8,864 educational institutions took part in the examinations. Of the examinees, 6, 35,697 are male and 5, 47,989 female.
